Today I have a real treat for you – two specific book recommendations from two very capable women in the Maui community of business owners.
The first book recommendation is by our newest Maui Advisor, Patty DeDominic. Patty is an extremely successful entrepreneur who built and sold several multi-million dollar companies. In 1979 she founded PDQ Careers, an HR consulting company that provided executive search and staffing solutions to organizations like AT&T, USC, Children’s Hospitals, The Automobile Clubs of California, Arizona and Texas and many smaller enterprises and government. In 1991 she acquired CT engineering and grew it into one of California’s top employers with over 600 staff in 30 states.
In 2006, she sold her businesses to a privately held firm that is now over one billion dollars in annual sales and one of the nation’s largest human resources/staffing firms.
She’s been named CEO of the year by LA Business Journal, was inducted into the Women’s Business Owners Hall of Fame, is the former Chairperson of the Foundation for SCORE, and was the former President of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Her brand new book, Life Moments for Women: 100+ Extraordinary California Women Share a Turning Point in Their Lives, is both highly educational and extremely inspirational.
I loved it (Yes I know I’m a man, but the stories were that good.)
In the true Maui spirit of giving, the proceeds from the book is benefiting Women’s Foundation of California!
Way to go Patty (and please, get the book.)
The second book recommendation comes from Leslie Cruz, PhD – a two time Maui Mastermind Wealth Summit graduate and it is on parenting.
The book is called, Parenting, The Missing Pages – Birth to 2 Years, and it too is a great tool for new parents.
Heather and I are expecting our third son in October and you better believe I’ll be reviewing back through my copy of this book! (It is short and fast but very useful tool.)

I hope you all enjoy these two books.
